Donate to help The Regent Park Community Ministry provide support and fellowship to Regent Park residents, especially those experiencing poverty, isolation and marginalization.

Donate To Help The Regent Park Community

Many folks in our community experience chronic poverty and are ongoing victims of systemic oppression and marginalization. Your one-time, monthly or annual, tax-deductible donation helps us advocate for and support them, and to create a neighbourhood where everyone can experience belonging, restoration and hope. Although we do receive financial support from the United Church of Canada, we also need support from our neighbours and community funders to continue and expand this important work.

We are a registered charity (more details on this below). While we work to set up our own Canada Helps page, we are a bit old school for now! We can accept cheque, cash, or e-transfer donations. Please contact Angie to arrange.

Regent Park Community Ministry is a registered charity through the Shining Waters Regional Council (SWRC). Donations should therefore be made out to the Shining Waters Regional Council with the Regent Park Community Ministry written on the memo line. Donations can be mailed or given to Community Minister Angie Hocking at 40 Oak Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 2C6. The SWRC will provide a tax receipt for your donation. Our charitable number is 108100215 RR0001.

Thank you for your generosity!

  • "RPCM provides an extremely unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the community in many ways: through personal support, advocacy and community capacity building. Your donations go directly to these efforts - enabling us to keep responding, engaging and creating. Thank you for your support!"

    Angie Hocking, Community Minister

  • “The heart of RPCM’s ministry is to be actively present with people for whom the present is hard. As Jesus said, ‘Surely I am with you always.’ That means being present in Regent Park as Jesus would be: supporting folks for whom food, income, shelter and relationships are often precarious. Through genuine friendship, respect and joint activity in work, amusement and worship, we help fulfill neighbourhood needs.”

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Regent Park Community Ministry acknowledges that the land that we work on has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to share this land.
